Tenth Amendment Center Responds to Ignorant Opposition to Nullification
Matt Renquist does a fine job of refuting a columnist's ignorance in opposition to Nullification. A great read!

American Spectator Shows States Why to Resist Health Exchanges
David Catron at the AmSpec has a great article explaining why the governors of states that have refused to set up state health exchanges are leading the fight against ObamaCare. His recommendation is a great first step and sets the foundation for Nullification. Bob McDonnell must stand tall with other governors that have told the feds 'No', or face political consequences in the future. Virginia is the author of american freedom, but under McDonnell's lack of leadership has become a timid and indecisive follower.....just like McDonnell.

A Level-Headed Approach to Secession
The Tenth Amendment Center nails it in regard to the secession movement sweeping the country. Secession clearly has its proper place and use in the life of a Representative Republic, but should be utilized as a last resort. Nullification is one of the avenues of Denying Consent of which this article speaks.

Governor McDonnell To Sell Out On ObamaCare?
Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell may need a stark reminder about his reason for being in the Governor's Mansion. Only two short years ago he was elected in a landslide only a couple months after ObamaCare passed and was signed into "law". It was very clear that the state that had elected Barack Obama two years earlier was now vastly repudiating the tyrannical law that, among many other obscene federal encroachments, has made it illegal to choose not to participate in commerce.
Now that Governor McDonnell has the chance to lead and really distinguish himself from the weak-kneed and limp-spined GOP ruling class, he can't decide if he wants to be a Statist or a Liberty advocate.
Receiving word that the Governor was vacillating on the top rail of the fence-line between Liberty and Tyranny, we asked his office for the truth: Does the Governor intend to implement ObamaCare in Virginia, despite the clearly unconstitutional nature and premise of the law, and despite his very clear constitutional authority under the Tenth Amendment to refuse to accept ObamaCare.
His answer came through a staffer- He can't decide whether the use the federal health exchange or the state health exchange, both options legislated in ObamaCare.
His staffer said the following: "When it comes to the establishment of Virginia’s future health benefits exchange, we continue to hold all of our options open. The Commonwealth could participate in the federal model, have a state exchange, or put together a hybrid approach. As of now, should we need to make a preliminary decision next Friday, the Commonwealth will participate in the federal model for the time being. Participating at this time in a federal exchange can be carried out in a variety of models, it does not automatically default Virginians, the administration, or the participating health plans to a fully federally run health benefits exchange.
This is not a final decision. The fact is, states still need far more information before any final decisions can be made on behalf of Virginia’s taxpayers. Sources have reported that the federal government has many rules and regulations that have been ready for release but have not been shared due to the election season. Without the information that has been repeatedly requested, states cannot make a sound decision. States need to understand the federal exchange model and answers remain to be provided as to how the pieces will link together within an exchange partnership between the federal and state.
For Virginia, the legislature must make the final call regarding the establishment and ultimate structure of a health benefits exchange. If more information regarding the federal model and the interaction between the federal and state partnership exchanges becomes available we will be better positioned to provide information to legislators who will make the final decision regarding exchange establishment. Virginia will continue to seek additional information from the federal government before the legislature makes a final decision for the Commonwealth. Our focus will continue to be on making a decision that is in the best interest of all Virginians. Please let me know if you have any further questions."
Allow me to translate: "we fully intend to make ourselves and all Virginians subservient to the federal government, but have not yet figured out how to do so without REALLY angering our citizens".
It's not that the Governor is desirous of having Virginia and its citizens live as slaves to the feds; nor does he wish to voluntarily give his Constitutional authority over this state- bequeathed to him by the Founders through the Constitution- over to the federal government without a fight; nor does he wish to see your family suffer under tyranny from the federal government.
He is a good man, but not particularly courageous, and is very simply not aware that he has the legally binding authority to say NO to the United States on any issue that Virginia deems to be unconstitutional. Yet, he does, and he needs to be made aware of that, and brought under sufficient pressure to give the him the courage to take a stand for liberty and for the sovereignty of Virginia and the freedom of our citizens.
Call him today and tell him to claim his authority under the 10th Amendment and fulfill his oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia by refusing to implement any or all of ObamaCare.

Don't miss this chance to steer the Governor toward a Liberty decision. He has the authority from the Constitution and the mandate from the People of Virginia; now he merely needs the courage. Let's help him find that!!

Tom Woods Answers Nullification Critics
This article from Woods is rather long, but well worth the read in our pursuit of understanding nullification and to prepare ourselves to defend it against the demagogues on the Left (and a few on the Right who are just woefully mal-educated on the topic). Purpose and Necessity of Nullification
Nullification? If you are reading this blog you are probably already familiar with the concept. However, to set a firm foundation for a proper understanding of the purpose of nullification and its critical importance for restraining the encroachment of the federal government, when the feds overstep their Constitutional authority and there is not the will to stop them at the federal level- as appears to be the case currently in our nation- I want to briefly introduce you to a great summary of the purpose of Nullification from Tom Woods' Liberty Classroom.
The purpose of this blog is to educate our readers on the critical issue of Nullification by compiling large amounts of info regarding this important issue on this blog, so a comprehensive understanding of Nullification can be gained without having to needlessly invest many hours of time researching.
We will attempt to categorize and label posts in such a manner that one can quickly locate the information for which he or she may be looking.
